No. Finiverse is manual-first by design — entering your own records keeps you aware of every purchase and builds the habit that actually changes spending. Bank sync via Plaid (US banks) is in development and will be optional when available. We will never see or store your banking credentials, and any connection will be read-only.

Sam knows your full financial history and how you've been feeling. Ask anything — 'Did I overspend this month?', 'Help me save $200 in 30 days', or 'I'm feeling overwhelmed, where do I start?' Sam is powered by Claude (Anthropic), never judges, and never gives generic scripted responses. Sam AI conversations are available on the Early Bird plan ($2.99/mo) and up.

Nothing changes automatically — you move to the Free plan with no charge. No credit card is required, so there's nothing to cancel. If you want to keep Sam AI and premium features, subscribe from Settings → My Plan inside the app. All subscriptions are managed by Apple and can be cancelled anytime from iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

The interface is visual-first — you see progress bars, colors, and trends instead of spreadsheet cells. Sam translates your numbers into plain language. If you have dyscalculia or just hate math, Finiverse was built with you in mind.

No. Finiverse is a personal finance tracking app, not a bank or financial institution. It does not hold money, process payments, lend money, offer investments, or provide certified financial advice. It is a tool to record, understand, and reflect on your financial life — nothing more. Sam is an AI assistant, not a licensed financial advisor.

Under 3 minutes. Download the app, create an account with just an email and password (no credit card), and log your first expense in seconds. You don't need to set up a budget, connect a bank, or configure anything before you can use it. The app is useful from the very first entry.

Tap the purple + button at the bottom of the screen and choose 'Expense'. Enter the amount, select a category (Food, Transport, Services, etc.), and optionally add how you're feeling. Sam uses your emotional data to build personalized insights over time.

Yes. Open any record from the Records tab and tap Edit to change the amount, category, date, description, or your emotional note. No data is ever locked.

A daily log where you record your mood, focus level, energy, stress, and sleep (automatically synced from Apple Watch, or entered manually). Sam links these emotional signals with your spending patterns, for example, detecting that you tend to spend more when you're anxious or under-slept.

Finiverse supports multiple currencies. You can set your primary currency in Settings, and multi-currency tracking is available on Premium and Sam AI plans.

Sam requires an internet connection to generate AI responses. You can still record expenses, view your balance, and access analytics while offline, Sam just won't be available for chat.

Go to Settings → Sam → Response style. You can choose from: Brief (short and direct), Calm (gentle tone, designed for anxiety), Detailed (full analysis), or Motivating (upbeat and encouraging). You can switch anytime, even mid-conversation.

Sam's responses are for informational and reflective purposes only, not professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Sam helps you understand your own patterns and make more informed personal decisions. Always consult a qualified professional for significant financial decisions.

Sam can access the financial records and emotional check-ins you've entered in Finiverse. It does not access your camera, contacts, location, or any data outside the app. Your conversations are stored in your account but are never shared with third parties and are not used to train AI models.

Yes. Sam is an AI assistant and may occasionally get specific numbers wrong or make suggestions that don't fit your situation. Always verify important figures in your records, and consult a qualified professional before significant financial decisions. Sam is designed to help you reflect — not to replace expert advice.

Yes. Your data is linked only to your account and is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising. It's stored securely using Google Firebase with enterprise-grade encryption (GDPR and SOC 2 compliant). We do not store your data on our own servers.

Yes. Enable biometric authentication in Settings → Security → Face ID / Touch ID. Your financial data stays locked behind Face ID until you authenticate.

Go to Settings → Security → Delete account. The process includes a confirmation step to protect against accidental deletion. All your data is permanently erased and cannot be recovered.

To change plans: go to Settings → My Plan inside the app. To cancel: go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Finiverse → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, you keep access until then.
